If you’re anything like me, you H-A-T-E junk mail. Almost every time I check the mail, there’s inevitably a catalog to some store that I’ve never even shopped at (or heard of, for that matter), or tons of credit card offers from various banks. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get rid of all this annoying junk mail and help the environment at the same time? Of course!
I read the following statistics on www.41pounds.org - for example, did you know...
The production and disposal of junk mail consumes more energy than 2.8M cars?
100M trees are ground up each year for unsolicited mail?
It wastes 28B gallons of water for paper processing each year?
If you cut your bulk mail for 5 years, you’ll conserve 1.7 trees, 700 gallons of water and prevent 460 pounds of carbon dioxide from being released into the air?
Scary, huh? I bet for most of you, your junk mail goes immediately into the trash. So do your part today and get rid of the junk! (Your mail carrier will thank you for it.) How do you do that, you ask? Well, here are a few sites with some tips. If you have any other tips of your own, or know of any other great sites, please leave a comment!

There is a way for everyone to reduce their home and business energy consumption by up to 25%. I am currently getting a 12% reduction in my energy consumption and you can find out how by going to: http://4u2bn.com/fe27. Use the contact me button on the website if you have an interest.
Has anyone actually done this and can provide some input?
The U.S. economy appears to be slowing faster than we thought, people are eyeing a recession and, in the heat of the moment, that is causing panic.\par
@ car donation tax: I did sign up for one of these (unfortunately I can’t remember which one) but ended up selling my place before I could determine whether or not the program worked! For what it’s worth, I do have a coworker who uses 41pounds and loves it.
Great advice and tips, Thanks so much!
