I've heard cars are really inefficient until they've warmed up, so you would be saving a lot more than just mileage by biking for short trips (not to mention it's good for the environment). When I go to the supermarket or pool, I always walk. Both are within a mile, and walking is a great chance for me to get some exercise! Ingrid,
